This is a designer showroom, not a bridal shop
Worth saying plainly, because it changes what to expect.
VITVEIS is a private showroom close to Bogstadveien right behind the royal palace, open by appointment for brides who are drawn to the VITVEIS designs in particular. It is a small studio with an exclusive, limited range: bridal tops combined with skirts or dresses, and a small range of minimalist or bohemian lace dresses. If you are looking for any wedding dress, a larger bridal shop will serve you better. If you have seen something here and want to try it on in privacy, you are in the right place.
Please browse the collection before you book. The range is exclusive, but our tops and skirts alone make more than 180 combinations, so brides who arrive with two or three pieces in mind get much further than brides starting from nothing.
How to get there
- Tram: line 19 to Homansbyen.
- Train: Nationaltheatret station, then a short walk behind the Royal Palace.
- Finding us: we are on the corner, in the same building as Christiania Glasmagasin. Walk into the store and take the spiral staircase on the right up to the second floor. I will meet you in the hall and show you into the showroom.
Bringing people
I can seat two guests. More are welcome, but please let me know in advance if you wish to bring a bigger group. It is a small room for intimate moments, and the more opinions there are, the harder it gets to hear your own.
The appointment
You try things on and put combinations together. A top with one skirt, then another skirt, until something feels like you. There are two ways to book:
- Mini appointment, 45 minutes, €28: for brides who already know which pieces they want to try.
- Designer appointment, 75 minutes, €48: time to explore combinations with me, find your look, and order.
We recommend nude or white underwear and neutral stockings, mostly for your comfort. Everything is made to order. Delivery takes 2 to 12 weeks, depending on the piece. Leave a few weeks for alterations too. If your wedding is close, write anyway. Some pieces are available sooner.
